In order to ensure safe and proper use of PARAPET™, this page summarizes the status of conformity to various regulations and standards, as well as precautions for handling the product.

The required standards vary depending on the application and conditions of use. Please be sure to read this information before selecting and using the product.

(1) Food Sanitation Law Compliance

PARAPET™ conforms to the following tests

Test method: Food Sanitation Law, Standard Specifications for Foods, Additives, etc. (Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare Notification No. 370, 1959), utensils or containers and packaging made of synthetic resin with methyl polymethacrylate as the main ingredient

In addition, we have obtained a certificate of verification and a certificate of conformity issued by the Japan Chemical Research Institute (JCII). Please contact our sales representative for use in food containers and packaging.

Precautions for Use of PARAPET™

The gases generated during molding may irritate the eyes and respiratory tract, so be sure to provide adequate ventilation.
Combustibles. Keep away from heat sources and fire.
Static electricity may build up, so please ground the product when working on it.
Do not use on medical devices or implants that come in contact with human tissue, or on items that may come in contact with the mouth of an infant or may be swallowed.
