PARAPET™ SA grade (soft acrylic resin)

TPU modified with soft acrylic resin

PARAPET™ SA grade is a plasticizer-free elastomer-like acrylic soft molding resin developed using Kuraray's proprietary technology.

Adding this material to TPU improves the melt tension during molding, which is expected to improve processability and expand the process window. It also imparts a matte surface finish, reducing tack and providing a silky, light touch.

Improved TPU Moldability

PARAPET™ SA grade is added to TPU to improve melt tension.
Improves processability by suppressing drawdown during molding. In the case of film deposition, improvement of film thickness stability can also be expected.

Enlarged Process Window during TPU Molding

PARAPET™ SA grade is added to TPU to suppress rapid decrease in elastic modulus at high temperatures. Expanding the molding temperature range reduces the burden of temperature control.

Reduced Blocking and Improved Texture

PARAPET™ SA grade is added to TPU to give the TPU surface a matte appearance. It also reduces tackiness and blocking, and provides a silky, light touch texture.
