KURALPHA™ is a special high heat-resistant acrylic resin manufactured using Kuraray's proprietary polymer synthesis technology. The material is transparent, highly heat-resistant, can be used outdoors, and is easily injection molded.

High Heat Resistance in Spite of Acrylic

KURALPHA™ is a special high heat-resistant acrylic resin that combines high heat resistance with transparency and Weatherability. Two grades are available: AX grade, which has a heat resistance temperature comparable to that of polycarbonate resin (Tg of 140°C or higher), and MX grade, which has both flowability and high heat resistance.

Can also be used for Resin Modification Applications

KURALPHA™ can also be used to modify resins by compounding. Compatibility with general-purpose PMMA allows for improved heat resistance temperatures while maintaining transparency. It can also be used for heat-resistant modification of ABS, ASA, and transparent ABS.
